I took to Germany last summer, very hard to find open Wifi,

my friend that lives there says its the same problem in much of Europe because DSL is installed by the phone company and they tell the customers to use password.....

Anyway my laptop got stolen out of my car , so I would say that would be a problem of making you more of a target.....

if you can find an internet cafe its pretty cheap, but most were very slow and smokey too

I just try and check my email every other day , and very little web surfing except if I plan on going someplace new and need directions/phone numbers.....

and yes the wrong keyboard makes it "fun" to login, try and find the "@" on a German keyboard
