The F product on UA has declined. I had read about it here, but experienced it first hand today. Flying LAX-IAD on 3 class 777...

Usually this is a breakfast flight, but because it was 3 hours late getting into LAX, we had lunch. Choices were either a salad with chicken breast or a roast beef sandwich.

I choose the roast beef, thinking it would be hot! But no - simply cold meat on a bun. It was even missing the swiss cheese which the FA used glowingly in trying to describe the meal.

And as previously reported, not even real butter on the tray.

As for service, the FA made us pass around the bin of tapes for the PVP. Then disappeared the remainder of the flight.

In addition, the blankets - usually on this flight wrapped for perceived cleanliness - were simply folded up. Obviously they were used on the outbound flight, and no one cared or thought it mattered (or weren't allowed) to load fresh blankets.

Huge disappointment... I used to think that taking the UA 777 on this route would equal slightly better service and amenities, but this flight certainly slapped me in the face and told me to stop dreaming...

Anxious to see the decline in PS service first hand on Friday...
