I normally fly from T5 on business, but a couple of weeks back flew from T1 to Nice with BA.

With me were my wife, my son (aged 3 with his own seat) and my daughter (11 months old - no seat) - all in ET on Y.

I was informed at the galleries lounge that as a Gold card holder, I could only bring in 1 guest, and that my Infant counted as the guest. As I looked suitably shocked and asked directly if the infant without a seat was my guest, the dragon changed her mind, and then only allowed my wife in as a guest.

The logic here (apparently) was that I already had one child (the infant) so couldn't have another as my guest, and could only bring in another adult.

I was looking at her with ill concealed venom by this time as I contemplated the thought of leaving my 3 year old to wreak havoc outside the lounge

However, at that point a kindly Australian traveller with a Silver card who was standing behind me told the dragon that he would be delighted to take my son into the lounge on his card.

So if you're reading this - thank you to the man who helped us through the lounge, and no thank you to the dragon.

(P.S - I fly with BA at least once a week, and this is the only time I've had a bad experience with a Lounge Dragon - so your milage may vary ... )
