I just brought back (on the 2nd of September) two laptops. Both purchased in the states, both for use in Sweden and for traveling. I did purchase a SwissGear backpack to use as my carryon, and for a short period, used it to lug three laptops (but only via car, one got dropped off before the trip).

Agree with SmilingBoy - take them out of the boxes.

Otherwise, no issue at all. I had both out for security at EWR and nobody even blinked funny at them.
I had no issues arriving in Sweden, simply went through the 'nothing to declare' line and out the doors.

Weight was a small issue, but since one was a EEE, it was only a small issue.
