Why do they want your BP? Are they afraid you'll steal the soap?

I don't know. The soap and whatever you want is free. You hand them your BP and they give you a little numbered "Do Not Disturb" sign on a chain. They hand you a little menu where you can check off all the stuff you want, soap, shampoo, toothbrush, razor, etc.
Then they pack it all into a little basket and you go off to your assigned cubicle, do
what you need to do and when you're done, you hand back the tag and they give you back your BP.
I've been impressed with the cleanliness of the cubicles each time I've been there. Twice I've caught attendants with cleaning supplies scurrying down the hall towards the cube I used right after I left.
If you get a chance to use them, I would highly recommend it. It's one of the better amenities that UA provides.
