I'm pretty sure the $50 gets taken off the upgrade, so it would be $200.

I did this in July SFO-LAX. I booked exit row seats and applied a 24 hr upgrade. VX charged me the regular 24 hr upgrade amount minus the premium seat fee. This was done over the phone, so the booking agent may have just been nice.
