The friendly immigration man in Pier C told me that we could not access Pier A due to renovations - ie the walk-way is closed. That meant Pier C was off limits and we had to slum it in the Flounge.

Also, the bookshop in SYD T1 Pier A has gone decidedly down market. It has absolutely no decent novels for the serious action / thriller market. be warned.
