Haven't you heard of the standing rule for calling AA for information?
"If you don't get the answer you want, hang up and call back until you do."



Joking aside, I did call the airline. The AAgent wasn't sure. She asked someone and they told her one thing, her manual said something else, and a second person yielded yet another result.

HENCE, I figured since FlyerTalk is probably the single best location to find the people who travel more than anyone else on the planet, I'd ask here. It's always been a pretty safe bet for any travel-related questions I've had, and far more accurate and reliable than calling the airline.


Now, the tip about e-mailing LHR? That could be useful. Is there a comparable AA address, or is it dependent on the airport, rather than the airline?
