When will you be in the city? The weather might be against you when you are in town to do stroles through Kelvingrove Park. Depending on what time you are in town and what your interests are here is a list of things to see/do in Glasgow

Have a pint/whisky in Uisge Beatha bar at 232-246 Woodlands Road
Go see the the Kelvingrove Galleries & Museum
Hunterian Museum at the University of Glasgow
Have lunch/dinner at 1 Devonshire Gardens
Take a ride on the Glasgow Subway
Go to the Charles Rennie Mackintosh designed Glasgow School Of Art (Not sure when the actual building is open to the public)
Have a great Glasgow curry at the Ashoka Ashton Lane
Having a browse through the second hand books at Voltaire & Rousseau at 12-14 Otago Lane
There is of course also the Burrell Collection. Though its a little trek from the city centre

There is some fine shopping to be had in the city. Some of the best theatre I have ever seen was at the Citizens theatre. Most of the things I have suggested are in the West End of the cuty. You can get there by the Glasgow Subway. The closest stops are Hillhead and Kelvinbridge.
