I opted in for receiving text messages from CO regarding any travel updates. Normally, UA just sends out an "email" text message free of charge. However, when I traveled last time I noticed CO sent me a text asking me to opt in and that fees might apply. Of course, I didn't do so.

Does it cost money?

Should I switch my settings to receive email instead of text messages instead?
