I carried two laptops domestically, never internationally. I would not be worried about the number of laptops, more about the fact that this might be heavy (two bags, etc) and the airline wouldn't like it. Air Berlin was certainly not happy but understood that there was no way I would check either one of them.

I assume you are on LH, otherwise you might want to post that in Travel Security or somewhere else appropriate if your major concern is TSA!
