A Saver award and a star alliance award will cost the same amount for this route (80 000 miles).

You may use any combination of Star Carriers; provided it is in the permittable routings.

BTV-IAD-FRA-ATH is a legal routing. The only question is whether you'd rather take LH metal or UA metal between IAD & FRA.
