You may be "entitled" to a refare, but in this situation it appears as if you won't get one. The online system would properly refare this, at least based on my experience, but if you can't refare online, then the only option is to call. However, as you just mentioned, the phone agents price it out by doing a dummy booking, so that's no help.

I've heard a single story on FT where the agent was able to refare an itinerary the same way the online system does it... I have no idea how and I've never gotten a phone agent to do anything besides clicking the "Best Buy" button (which is essentially a dummy booking price).

Not too sure you'll be able to snag the refare on this one unless L availability opens up, or the person who posted about the unique phone agent posts again with more details...
