The best solution I've found is to
save the boarding passes to your hard drive and then print a copy to use at the airport. This way, you have an electronic copy that is much harder to lose than paper. I like to save to PDF (very easy with a Mac

) but whatever works for you. Not having to remember where you put your boarding pass stub is, for me, one of the major advantages of on-line checkin.
