UA_Flyer, your pictures definitely make AA look more attractive than UA. However, just to note that this caliber of meal looks Japan specific, I don't know how it is to China but it may not be the same. Also, what I find is that AA's C and F products are a lot more similar to each other than with UA, so on AA, F gets the same amenity kits, entree choices as J. Compare this to UA where F gets a vastly superior amenity kit, there are double entree choices that are different recipes because they also serve as crew meals, and can eat whenever the passenger wants.

Then, there is the fact that AA flies across the transpacific 6x a day (DFWx2, ORD, JFK, LAX-NRT and ORD-PVG) compared to UA's 2 daily departures from IAD, 4 daily departures from ORD, and 7 daily from SFO, plus the onward connections from NRT and HKG. For frequency and convenience of choice, UA is a no-brainer, especially if you are not stopping off in NRT.

Finally, as an airplane geek, I will always choose the 747 over the 777 (YMMV) and that is something AA can never offer me!
