The upgrade policy they have doesn't surprise me and is in line with my experience. However, they do at least have a policy, mostly stick to it and greet you as a platinum card holder (I've stayed at far too many IC group properties where this isn't even acknowledged).

So, this particular upgrade surprised me. Normally, I book a club room anyway but they weren't even advertising them this time. Besides, the basic room prices here have gone up a fair bit since I last stayed.
