Just back from a couple of weeks in Greece. Wanted to fly into Kefalonia as I was traveling to the neighbouring island of Ithaca. As I was exiting the (very tiny!) airport I thought I saw BMI flights listed on the arrivals board. I had to travel on Monarch. Not the best, but thankfully I read that you can pay for "extra legroom seats" which I did. They should call them just legroom seats as the others you could barely get your knees in!!
Anyway, on the way back out of EFL, I saw 2 BMI flights departing, one for Heathrow and the other for Manchester. I think there may have been one even later in the day for Gatwick. The London one had the flight code BMA7012. Would this be a charter? I'd like to go back next year, but if I could leave from Heathrow, or a more reasonable hour from Gatwick instead of 6am with Monarch I'd be happy. As it was I flew to Athens on Aegean and then back the Stantead a few days later with them. Good airline, good service and inflight entertainment and great Greek food. Shame that even though they have a tie in with Luthansa, I can't use my BMI miles with them. Any chance I could use them on BMA7012?
