Hello everyone. I hope I'm posting this in the proper section. A question for those familiar with Mexicana. Tomorrow (09/18) I am scheduled to fly on a MX flight LAX-MLM. I just received a call from Mexicana stating that the flight has been canceled due to "operational" reasons. They offered the possibility of flying out 24 hrs later from LAX toMLM.

Now I've actually have never really been faced with a situation that requires me asking for compensation so I do not know if this warrants me asking Mexicana for something, should I?.

I have also been given the option of flying to Guadalajara and finding my way to Morelia. If I do take this offer am I voiding any possible compensation. Thank you everyone.
