Yes, yes, the Old Town is still very attractive and I am not saying that Corfu as an island is a dreadful place. It is lovely, but there is no top-end hotel there, and after all, that is what we are talking about here. If someone wants to stay on Corfu, then a villa rental is probably the best bet.
