Here is my read on your choices, I am assuming you are asking for a comparison between
1. YVR-HKG AC (77W)- HKG-SIN SQ (772)-overnight in SIN- SIN-PER SQ (772)
and
2. YVR-AKL NZ (777)- AKL-PER NZ (763)
The seats on the AC 777 are pretty close to the NZ 777 (although I really dont like the layout of the AC 767, the cabin seems to narrow), so pretty much a draw there. I do like the video screen and tray layout better on NZ. As for service and food, I'd give NZ the edge but not really by much. Beyond your transpac leg, you'd likely wind up spending a long time on SQ's old 772 with regional business class. I did YVR-SIN thru HKG once, really hated the HKG-SIN leg in that old seat. You'd have to do SIN-PER on the same equipment the next morning. If you go on NZ, you have that pretty long flight from AKL-PER on the 763, which is probably comparable to the SQ 772. As for the stop in AKL, head into town and grab breakfast somewhere and take a walk around.
I would opt for the NZ routing.
