I'm based in the UK, and it struck me that there are some parallels with how BA are represented by the media following the recent closure of the Channel Tunnel and subsequent Eurostar cancellations.
There has been an 'outcry' in the 'popular' press over BA and the 'obscene' prices it's been charging for people flying to Paris at the last minute. Strangely there was no mention of Air France or BMI in the same articles, but then why would they want to spoil a good rant with the truth?
IIRC bmi no longer flies to Paris.
