UA should then promote and retain the more enthusiastic and more customer-oriented FA's. To hire and fire based on age is illegal (in the US), immoral (to me), and bad business. You will not get anywhere by suggesting that to UA. As passengers, the best we can do is to write letters to UA when FA's are especially good or especially bad, and let the weeding run its course.
