It's the (every) airline's way of attempting to monetize every service and possibly one day make a profit. But honestly, how much would an independent travel agent have charged for this service?

I just booked and paid for a DONE4 on AA. Since it is not possible to book these online, I had no choice but to call the RTW desk and speak to an agent. I was charged a $20 booking fee for that privilege.
Maybe this is being picky in the big scheme of things, but why do they charge this fee when there is not the option of doing it oneself online?
