The only time when we will see these fees go away/down is when the market dictates it. When somebody thinks they can undercut somebody else and still make a profit they will drop some of the fares but given the pounding the industry has taken over the past few years i would not hold my breath on that one and no amount of b****ing and moaning on the part of the flyertalk community will or should change that.
