It used to be possible to travel on HA TransPac using AAdvantage miles, at least as late as 2000. Not sure when that changed, but it's been a while that HA and AA's agreement only covers interisland flights. Also, the cheapest HA interisland fares don't qualify for the 250 AA miles accrual.
