1 nautical mile = 2000 yds.
1 statute mile = 1760 yds.

488 knots (nm/hr) x 2000 yds/nm ÷ 1760 yds/mi. = 554.5 mph (rounded off)

2182 mi. ÷ 554.5 mph = 3.935 hours x 60 min./hr. = 236.105 min.

236.105 min. ÷ 2 = 118.05 minutes to half-way point (using same assumptions above about uniform speeds for takeoff and landing).

118 min. = 1hour, 58 minutes. [.05 minute x 60 sec./min. = 3 seconds.]

9:02 a.m. + 118.05 minutes = 11:00:03 a.m., H.S.T.

Or disregarding the three seconds (round-off error),half-way is at exactly 11 o'clock!
