My father volunteered to be bumped from a UA flight and received one of those free ticket to anywhere in the lower-48 "type B" vouchers.

He then sent it to me as my birthday present. So I was wondering if I could use it to get a ticket in my girlfriends name?

I guess the issues are:

1) Is the voucher transferrable (i.e. does he have to make the reservation or can I do it)

2) Can the reservation be made under someone elses name (i.e. my girlfriends)?
