Yes, I felt it was possible it was 100 percent authentic.
I have received many, many, many emails that were not intended for my group. Usually harmless notices of meetings. Very little in my "inbox" is relevant to me or my job. For that reason I only check my corporate mail about once or twice a year (we aren't required to check it). So it's entirely possible I did get this email!
