Hello,

My father and I are taking a trip to Italy in November on US air. It is something we've wanted to do for a long time and considering he doesn't have much time left, we decided to do this sooner rather than later. Anyway, I had a few questions since is the first time either of us are leaving the country.

1-How will the flight be from PHL to FCO? I personally have never flown internationally and have only rode UA. My father has never been on another airline besides Southwest.

2-I have about 5,000 miles on United Airlines MP program, could I use that to upgrade us both to business class and if not, could I pay money to upgrade us? I wanted to surprise him with a special treat. I have about $300 saved up and hope that would be enough.

3-How is FCO to navigate?

4-How will weather be in Rome and Pompeii around the end of November? I'm guessing it will be warm enough to wear sweaters.
