Robt760 is quite right. I am a MAC user and can tell you that the AA website is not supported by SAFARI. Took me an AA agent to learn that. You have to use Firefox. And, I can tell you, Firefox works just fine. You can navigate around a little with Safari, and even book and pay for tickets much or the time. But, changing seats and printing boarding passes just doesn't work with it, I have found.
