It is still there and is very good. The Glasshouse in Kew Village is about the best restaurant in these parts (michelin starred I believe), by far the best Sommelier and wine list around the West. You'll need to book well in advance for both though.
Ma Cuisine (also in Kew Village) won't need you remortgage for a meal although can be of variable quality... if you're looking for an Indian then Rawalpindi Grill in Twickenham is by far the best in the West and well worth the journey past Richmond.
