Agreed. Outside of Southern California and a few parts of Texas and New Mexico, it is pretty hard to get authentic good Mexican food. Oh, it's around, but you really have to look for it in most places.

My best friend who moved to Superior, WI from SoCal a few years ago says there is nothing within 80-100 miles of there worth eating. Judging from my visits there, I would agree.

Unless you have lived or traveled extensively in Mexico or SoCal, you probably don't really know how it's supposed to be.

On the other hand, some of the absolute best real Mexican food I've EVER had outside of Mexico was at a tiny hole in the wall in Reedsport OR.
