With regards to the points its not really a good return the staybridge is 20K points Vs. $100 a night.

Its not something I would normally use points for but have quite a lot in the account and we always planned on using a load on the America trip which helped with selling all the business nights away to the Mrs, and haven't really used any as of yet! Hotels so far:

• Las Vegas -Bellagio - No points
• San Fran - IC San Fran - Only 1 of 3 nights on points
• San Luis - Non IHG Hotel - No points

I'm quite willing to let them go under value for two nights and the Staybridge seems the best return after tax etc.. it will only save me £130 but still more cash for other areas
