I get this all the time using Safari. If you set the page reduction to either 98% or 102% (can't recall which, probably the former) it prints out more 'repectfully', although still not perfect.

Saving to PDF first doesn't really help, the print system is already based on it when it goes to the printer. Must be some little setting somewhere.....
