Well if an employee gives you a gift from a company he/she is currently working and say it's ok to take it home with you. Then yes, it is ok and not consider "stealing" since the employee know about it. However, we might not know if the employee is stealing that "gift" from the company, that would be considered stealing. But we have no way of verifying that right?
