Just watched Geraldo reporting live from the sea wall at Galveston on Fox News.
It's early days yet so whilst a few waves are crashing over it's going to be a number of hours before the surge really hits.
There also looked to be a couple of fairly solid tall buildings nearby so I presume the crews are rigged up with uplinks and generators.
Worryingly, there are reports of large numbers of people staying put and ignoring warnings of what could be a large area of flooding.
