I have been using Platinum and fast approaching the $100k yearly limit.
I already reached the pitiful 25k limit on the Bronze card so that card is now not being used at all. A complete waste.
If you don't have and won't have status, the best single card to go for (if you don't want to get multiple Citi AA cards to get around the limit) is Diners Club. No yearly limit on Club Rewards points earnings, and Club Rewards points transfer to AA miles at least 1:1 (occasionally a
slight bonus), though with a small transfer fee (which you can instead pay with points, tho that's a poor value).
Diners Club is administered by Citi, but it's a totally separate division. You cannot apply online, you have to call. See the Diners Club forum here on FT for more if you're interested.
