I have never stayed at the Staybridge since on $$ it's typically $20 to $30 more than the Holiday Inn next door, but of course on points it could be a much better value. I've stayed at the Holiday Inn next door (on Manchester) many times, but I don't know whether it has "real" suites. (It does have "kid suites", but they're cramped things where they've taken a regular-size room and put in bunk beds for kids in place of one of the regular beds. The bunk beds are sort of divided off by their "back", but the room ends up pretty cramped. I figured this out when they gave it to me one night where I had the last regular room reserved but they were having air conditioning problems with that room.)
Anyway, from this location, there's a third-party (not hotel operated) shuttle to Disneyland regularly running. I'm always having to "push aside" families with kids waiting for this shuttle to wheel my rollaboard to the car in the morning. The parking is certainly free at both properties (they esentially share a large parking loop that runs around the two buildings).
But does a Staybridge have a pool? A Candlewood certainly doesn't. (And I'm not sure how the lack of a pool is better than a closed pool.
