GSP, how are you getting from BTV? rental car?
My way of doing GSP-YUL (the college student way):
1)GSP-IAD-BTV (arriving into BTV somewhere around 930-1000A).
2)Catch the CCTA public bus to downtown Burlington and grab lunch at one of the several nice restaurants downtown.
3)Walk the 3-4 blocks to the Vermont transit station, buying a round trip ticket. It is a pleasant few hours ride, especially in the autumn when the foliage is out. The bus leaves at around noon and gets you to Montreal by 2:30P.

In comparison, after you do customs, get your luggage, and take either the express bus or cab from Dorval/Trudeau to downtown, you'll get to where you want to be by around 1145-1215. Even with the bus ticket (roughly double the cost of the express bus from YUL to downtown Montreal), I still usually come out at least $100-150 ahead at the very least. Usually its even more than that. If you rent a car, I'm sure its even faster than that.
