Last time I heard UA was still in Chapter 11.

We are talking about UA handing out "soft currency" like candy (miles - of any type) in exchange for hard currency. (Dollars).

Sounds pretty darn smart to me. But I have no MBA, so this opinion is worth exactly what you paid for it.
