I am about to book a (legal) connecting flight through YOW: IAD-YOW-YEG. If the IAD-YOW is on schedule, I have 61 minutes to make my connection. I am concerned because the YOW-YEG leg is the last possible option to get to YEG that night, and I MUST be in Edmonton for a meeting the next morning. I only travel with two carry-ons and I have a NEXUS pass, so I know that clearing the U.S. portion will be quick. But I assume that I will have to clear security again once I have exited the US area before I access the domestic gates. Btw, this will be between 7-8 PM.

Should I be concerned? Any advice greatly appreciated. If this is an issue, I will seek out another routing through an alternate connecting city, perhaps Denver or Chicago. Denver for example will take longer, but I won't be on the last flight out. TIA.
