The SLR floor at the Shinjuku Yodobashi Camera is like a candy store. They have everything there although the prices are generally higher than in the States. I tried the Tamron version of the 70-200mm f/2.8. They have the 18-200mm from a number of vendors; several 10-20mm/12-24mm from all the vendors. The Sigma 28mm f/1.4 was on display. Most of the Nikon monster long lenses have a slightly deeper discount (20%) than equivalent Canon ones.

Are you referring to this one - TAMRON AF18-270MM Di II VC ULTRA HIGH POWER ZOOM LENS. I was in Tokyo late June and was in this very Yodobashi but did not see this lens or any info on it. Do you have the published price in Japan? By any chance you did a test drive with this lens, if so, comments?
Thanks.
