This post really belongs in the American AAdvantage forum, but since it is your maiden post, it's no big deal. And welcome to FlyerTalk.
Technically, selling your AAdvantage miles is a violation of that program's terms (with serious potential ramifications), so I'd discourage you from pursuing that option. If you tell us how many miles you have at your disposal and where and when you want to go, you will be sure to get some assistance from some very knowledgeable FlyerTalkers. Otherwise, what's the rush to unload your AAdvantage miles? Is it imperative that you find some cash to finance your trip? If you must do so, maybe try to work out a clandestine deal with a close and trustworthy friend. But you didn't hear that from me.
