After around 56 Y flights I have finally made it to the heady heights of OK Plus Gold. Half of the flights were on OK metal (LHR-PRG-BRQ) and I often got upgraded. Sadly, I've finished that project and am likely to spend the next 6 or so months flying LHR-CDG every other week on AF metal on which I have only been upgraded once despite flying them 20 or so times this year. I am unlikely to fly enough this year to get OK+ Platinum.

Historically I have never been able to find award flights when I've wanted them (Mind you, having read a few posts on the subject, I now know how to find the award flights, thank to FT).

I appreciate the lounge access that the gold card gives me.

I expect to fly to France (mostly Paris) around every other week until the end of the year -- Around 20 flights, I guess.

And so I wonder... Would I get better recognition from AF/KLM and more upgrades from AF/KLM if I were to get status with FB (by recording my FB number for my forthcoming AF flights) rather than OK+?

Any words of wisdom appreciated.
