After checking for tix in Feb., I noticed a welcome change in the ANC-HNL schedule. The departure has been pushed back about 1.5 hours (departing 1:50pm) and will allow for more connection options. Much better than the 3:30pm departure.
But then I noticed that the departure time switches back to the later departure sometime in mid-Feb. The earlier time is only available for flights I looked at in late Jan/early Feb. Why is it switching back??? I thought the change was a positive one and it certainly influenced my decision to travel earlier in the winter when I could get into HNL at a decent hour. Overnighting in HNL when you are vactioning on another island is a big bummer and waste of time/money.
Just wondering if anyone had any insight.

There is a Schedule change in February - which isnt just Alaska - all the airlines change schedules right around then so you might see the connection airlines also change to make the connections easier.
OTOH - it could get worse
