I am really curious how this works on the back end. I recently booked 2 “Executive First” tickets to Europe on AC using my MP miles (160K). To purchase the same 2 Executive First tickets on AC for the 330 day out routing I was looking at was over $14,000!! Pretty much the same booking, destination-wise, on UA (or LH) in C seemed to be around $6500, but would have been without the AC “XM suite” product I hope to get on AC. My goal was to fly something other than UA metal just for the experience aspect and preferably in a suite-like seat.

My main question for the post is what does United pay for this *A booking of mine on AC? Anything, or does it simply get canceled out with other *A award bookings made on United.
