You don't mention what it is your are waitlisted for? A revenue seat? An upgrade? To C? To F? A free seat? To C? to F? If you are waiting for NF or XF on an international trip, I've often had to wait months, and then have it clear at the gate. If you're waiting for an upgrade, you should call and ask not if your waitlist has cleared, but rather if there is today availability for that upgrade; those are two different questions (see recent threads)
