That may, perhaps, be one of the most convoluted letters I have ever read. I got confused at least twice going through the entire text.
While the delay is understandable, I do agree with the OPs frustration regarding shoddy service by ground staff. That is a major problem for EK at many/most destinations including (and perhaps especially) DXB.
A reworded (read: shorter/concise) letter with an attached chronology may have some limited success. It may be worth a try.
