If you google accommodation Santiago de Compostela you will get quite a few ideas ... but do make sure that they are in the city centre! If you can push the budget I would strongly recommend the PARADOR Los Reyes Catolicos which adjoins the wonderful cathedral and end point of the Camino de Compostela pilgrims route. It is of the same age as the cathedral and is like staying in both a historical building and an oasis of calm. Paradors are special to Spain and have their own website. I had a dinner in the one which forms part of the Alhambra in Granada, and it was the high spot of my trip. My dream is a weekend in the Parador at Santiago, but I know it is VERY expensive. But if you CAN allow for this I think that this will be a highspot of your trip. All good wishes xx
