An interesting perspective for AF should be the possibility to beef up the LYS hub. The TGV station there is notoriously underused, yet by 2012 (thanks notably to the future Rhin-Rhone line, and later extensions of TGV med) it will be less than 2 hours away from most of eastern and south-eastern France, as well as western Switzerland and southwest Germany.
